The appeal to overturn Kanter's ruling happened yesterday, and a response is expected to come in the next couple of days. Kanter was ruled inelgible in early November by the NCAA after it was ruled that his family received $33,000 in extra benefits from the Turkish pro club, Fenerbahce Ulker. Kanter is UK's only true big man, and the Wildcats are extremely undersized without him. He would greatly improve UK's chances of winning a national title, as he would provide a force down low.

Second exhibition game
UK's next opponent is the Dillard Bleu Devils. The game is at 7:00 p.m. in Rupp Arena. This is Kentucky's second and final exhibition game of the season. Coach Calipari is expected to make some changes for tonight. Center Eloy Vargas states that he expects the big men to play more tonight. Another point of emphasis tonight is the play of star point guard Brandon Knight. Calipari wants Knight to pass the ball more, rather than take a lot of shots. He belives passing will help set up easy scores for Knight.
